How It Works

Typically, joining two pieces of timber requires the drilling of clearance holes, so that the timber does not split, and the driving of a screw to secure the two pieces of timber together. To do this task there is a current requirement to use two separate tools, one for drilling and one for driving.

A disadvantage with this procedure is that the changing of the individual tools for different purposes is time intensive and time inefficient. For the worker’s convenience the RAPID DRILL & Drive* combines the two tasks within a singular tool.

The uniqueness of this invention lies in the fact that the same drill bit, once the clearance hole has been perforated, will be used to drive the screw to join the two pieces of timber together.
